March of the Machine is about to drop on Magic: The Gathering Arena and to celebrate the set’s release there are plenty of new things coming to Arena for players to enjoy. We’ve got a new Standard Metagame Challenge, new items in shops, a limited Arena Open, and more. Let’s take a look at everything coming to Arena this week and more in this Arena Announcement update.
Metagame Challenge Ramps Up
Get ready for a new Metagame Challenge coming to MTG Arena this weekend. This Best-of-Three event has players competing in Traditional Standard matches starting Friday, April 21 at 8 a.m. PT and will run for four days, until Monday, April 24 at 8 a.m. PT.
Players can earn gold and packs depending on the number of wins they rack up. At the top end, players can earn 5,000 gold and 30 packs of March of the Machine for hitting seven wins. This event is a great way to practice with your favorite new March of the Machine cards for relatively low stakes.
March of the Machine Arena Open
In two week’s time, players will get a chance to compete in the upcoming Limited Arena Open. Starting this April 29 and running until April 30, players will be able to enter March of the Machine Sealed events, both Best-of-One and Best-of-Three variants. There is also an option to join in on March of the Machine Traditional Draft matches.
These events have a chance to earn up to $2,000 and an invite to the May 13 Qualifier Weekend event. Even if you don’t place in the event, every player will receive a massive Atraxa avatar just by participating in the event.
