Midweek Magic is back and taking players to New Phyrexia for a chance to earn some prizes in this free event. This time around, players will have to brew the best decks they can using only cards from the latest set, Phyrexia: All Will Be One.
During the Midweek Magic: Phyrexia: All Will Be One Constructed event, players will have a chance to earn up to three prizes. The first two are Rare Individual Card Rewards, while the third is a random Mystery Cosmetic item. The two Rare Individual Card Rewards can be most rare or mythic cards found on Arena. The Mystery Cosmetic items can range from a card style you don’t already own to something a little rare like pets and avatars. Since card styles are the most common item to find in these packs chances are you’ll be earning one of those.
This event is only around for a limited time, starting on Tuesday at 8 a.m. PT and running for 48 hours, ending at 8 a.m. PT on the following Thursday. Like all Midweek Magic events, it is completely free to join and you can play as many games as you like, though you can only earn three rewards.
Phyrexia: All Will Be One Constructed Rules
As it is a set constructed event, you can only use cards from Phyrexia: All Will Be One in your deck. This means you won’t be finding cards like Bloodtithe Harvester or Raffine, Scheming Seer in your opponent’s decks. Instead, you’ll have to be looking out for Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Atraxa, Grand Unifier.
Other than the restriction of what cards you must include, your standard constructed deck-building rules apply to this format. Your deck must consist of at least 60 cards and can not include more than four copies of each card other than basic lands.
There are a few different ways you can approach your deck-building process for a Phyrexia: All Will Be One Constructed format. You could try to poison out your opponents, playing lots of creatures with the toxic ability, and get them to ten poison counters quickly. You could also go for a more aggressive approach, using Archfiend of the Dross and Phyrexian Obliterator in a Mono-Black list to overwhelm your opponent through an onslaught of combat damage.
Or, you could just play all of the colors.
