Wizards of the Coast revealed today that the next remastered set, Kaladesh Remastered, will come to MTG Arena in November.
When Wizards originally announced their plans for Kaladesh Remastered last month, they would only say that the set would arrive on Arena by the end of 2020. However, they decided to confirm a November release date in order to preempt the data miners that have previously discovered similar information. The upcoming October update to MTG Arena will include hidden information of the set, such as the pack preorder options, and Wizards wanted to provide an official announcement before data miners would eventually find the hints and publicize them unofficially.
Kaladesh Remastered will follow August’s Amonkhet Remastered, which was the second iteration of a “remastered” set after 2015’s Tempest Remastered on Magic Online. Wizards has also announced the forthcoming Time Spiral Remastered, which is expected to be released for tabletop and Magic Online sometime in the first half of 2021.
Wizards has not revealed the planned size of Kaladesh Remastered—Amonkhet Remastered pared 459 unique cards down to 340—or if the set will include cards from outside of the Kaladesh block similar to how Amonkhet Remastered included cards from outside of the Amonkhet block like Thoughtseize and Wrath of God.
