Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome to the Goblin Lore Podcast!

In our thirty-seventh episode, Magic: the Gathering ethnographer Adrienne Reynolds and Hindu pandit and co-host of the Commanderin’ Podcast Shivam Bhatt join the goblins for an extremely deep exploration of how Magic lore and design has handled religion over the years. Through the practices of Judaism, Hinduism, and Christianity, our religious panel also examines whether or not Gerrard Capashen of the Weatherlight Saga was a true Messiah figure, or whether he simply presents a paint-by-numbers “hero’s journey” protagonist in the tradition of Joseph Campbell.

This is not the first discussion of religious ideas we’ve had as a cast, and it certainly won’t be the last, so if you like what you heard, let us know! If you want more of something in specific, let us know that!
