On today’s Minute: Wizards’ Brazilian Twitter account accidentally tweeted card images of the Immortal Sun and Tetzimoc, Death Incarnate. Whoops!

This morning, Wizards of the Coasts’ Brazilian Twitter account accidentally spoiled the Immortal Sun, one of the most important story cards from the upcoming Rivals of Ixalan.

The card is a six-mana Legendary Artifact, with four separate static abilities. First, players (including you!) can’t activate loyalty abilities of Planeswalkers. Second, at the beginning of your draw step, you draw an additional card. Third, spells you cast cost one generic mana less to cast. Fourth, creatures you control get +1/+1.

In addition, the tweet included the Tetzimoc, Death Incarnate, which costs four generic and two black mana for a 6/6 Legendary Dinosaur with deathtouch. You can pay one black mana and reveal it from your hand to put a Prey counter on target creature, and then when Tetzimoc enters the battlefield, it destroys all creatures with Prey counters on them. Note that Tezimoc and the name of its counters are translated from Portuguese and might be different in the English version of this card.

All signs point to these spoilers being the result of a miscommunication with Wizards’ Brazilian team. Not only was the tweet was deleted less than 30 minutes after being posted, but it also included the one official double-faced Rivals of Ixalan preview card from Chris Cocks’s keynote at PAX Unplugged, Storm the Vault and Vault of Catlacan. It is likely that the Brazilian team thought that the Immortal Sun and Tetzimoc were going to be previewed alongside Storm the Vault and composed this tweet with the Portuguese versions of the cards they believed had been previewed last week.
