On today’s Minute: Wizards gives us some story tidbits to tide us over until Rivals of Ixalan, plus Face to Face Games announces its Pro Tour team.
This morning, Wizards of the Coast released some interesting story tidbits to fill the void between Ixalan and Rivals of Ixalan, which comes out next January. In the article, we learn that Nicol Bolas has no idea that Jace is on Ixalan and that Saint Elenda, the first vampire on Ixalan, is still alive. We also find out that Angrath, another planeswalker stuck on Ixalan, has two daughters and that he used to explore the multiverse and bring them gifts from different planes. Apparently he was on a similar jaunt through the planes when he accidentally got stuck on Ixalan. Poor guy.
Another Pro Tour team was announced earlier this week, as Face to Face games revealed their lineup for the upcoming Pro Tour Season. The team will include Hall of Famers Eric Froelich and Gabriel Nassif, as well as rising star Corey Burkhart, plus David Williams, Rich Hoaen, and Ben Rubin. We now know the makeup of 8 Pro Tour teams for next season and it’s likely more teams will be announcing their rosters in the coming days. Wizards will be releasing the full 2017-2018 Pro Tour Team rosters next Monday on Daily MTG.
