On today’s Minute: Autumn Burchett won English Nationals over the weekend, plus a Pre-Prerelease for Unstable…featuring Mark Rosewater!
Autumn Burchett dominated the competition this weekend when she won England’s national championship. Playing a 4-color energy build, she finished the weekend with an undefeated 14-0-1 record. Autumn will be the first woman to represent England at the World Magic Cup since Carrie Oliver did so in 2013.
The results of other events from the second weekend of National championships continue to roll in. There will be a third and final Nationals weekend in October after Ixalan has released. The World Magic Cup will be held later this year in December in Nice, France.
It seems like a week doesn’t go by anymore without new information about Unstable. This weekend the team at Loading Ready Run announced their plans to do a pre-prerelease for the third Un-set, slated to come out in early December. The big reveal was that Mark Rosewater, head designer of Magic and champion of all things Un-set, will be a special guest at the event.
